Job gave me some shit responsibility which involves doing something very fucking annoying and yet, no pay raise. Even though I'm the only person there who is doing this thing. >_<
Also, moving date has been moved to July 1st. Which minuses a month. (minus'?) Now I'm a bit nervous. Okay, really nervous. Things feel really rushed since I won't be here for 1/2 of June.
When I come back it's time to haul ass. But for now, I've got AbFab to watch and CDs to pack/sell.

Fantasia and The Wire sold for over 100 bucks. I haven't even gotten to the clothes yet, but it appears, once i sell everything I'm looking to sell, I could make about a grand. That, plus what I've already got saved equals over 3 months rent and I've still got over two months to go. Woo!
I've known people who've moved into apartments with just enough to get in. I don't want that. I want to be secure for a few months before I start living the Ramen life.

So... wow.
We got to AC, I gambled a bit and wound up going home 90 bucks up. Which isn't really as good as before but better than coming home in the hole, so no complaints.
Our seats were pretty good (13th row a bit off to the left) and i had a practically perfect, unobstructed view until the very end. Basically, the way it went was each group would cover Elvis, Elvis would cover them, and they'd do songs together (not nessecarily in that order).
First up, Death Cab. Highlights include "Accidents Will Happen" and "Kinder Murder". It was a bit strange because I predicted what songs would get played with whom. And I can now die happy having seen Ben (Gibbard) and Elvis do "I Will Follow You Into The Dark". (The two times I saw DCFC last month, he only played it at the Tweeter Center and, being surrounds by a crapload of teenage sassy girls, I could barely here him over the tone deaf audience. Which ruined it for me as I really adore that song.) Also, they had to start one song over as Ben dropped his pick.
Then The Imposters came out and they started with Uncomplicated. I literally squealed.
I'm not a big fan of Fiona Apple's (though, now..) but I started thinking, "You know.. she's got a great voice for 'I Want You'.." and two minutes later that's what they did. And it fucking unbelievable. Right around the " I'm not ashamed to say I cried for you" part til the end she just started getting louder and there was so much emotion behind the way she was singing it. She was furious and accusing. It was wonderful. She also sang "Shabby Doll" and I'd never heard that one before but I liked it. After Elvis covered a song of hers, you could see her in the shadows at the back of the stage clapping the hardest out of anyone. She came out and was jumping around like a little girl. It was really sweet how you could see everyone was just so damn excited to be playing with him. The songs that were hers were pretty good, so now I'm interested.
Billie Joe was okay. I mean, most of the songs were acoustic and pretty much all the Green Day songs they did were really current/popular ones that I'm totally sick of. I'd say half of the audience wasnt old enough to even be in a casino and solely there for him. Also he fucked up on No Action so they played it twice. Still, pretty excited to see it when it airs. Who gets VH1 Classic?
When everyone was on stage for "Really Got A Hold On Me" that pretty much ruled too. Sheesh. What an awesome show. I can't wait for Green Bay. XD
(Was gonna include a setlist but the ljcut isn't workin for me cause I'm some kinda dumbass. Maybe later.)

I've been computerless for about.. 6 months now? (i'd explain why i think it's been 6 months but then i'd have to say i used an event in an MMORPG as a timetable and that would reveal the geekness so just ignore you read that..)
It got to the point where I didn't miss the Intarweb, and after two days i was already tired of the internet. But I do have loads of webcomics to catch up on and neopets to feed and holy shit i cant' believe i forgot about shuttlecocks. shit. greatness.
wish me luck. I go to AC on friday in the hopes of scrounging up more money for an apt. I -always- win when i go (all of two times) but i never know when to stop, which means my track record is even.
1st time, came back with about 2-350
2nd time, lost all the money i entered with (bout 200.. but i was up like 300 before i lost it all..)
so friday is the tie breaker. or rather, friday is: can mary learn how to FUCKING STOP once she's up a couple hundred.
a girl at work gave me a quarter. I promised if 'we' won 50 thousand, she'd get at least half for giving me the quarter. It was a lucky quarter you see.
I've spent the past 2 days fucking with iTunes and fixing up my comp. I have sound now! Well. i've also been packing (yes, i know it's early but i'm the girl who starts buying xmas presents in june so this is usual m.o. with me) and throwing shit away. Also, selling shit on ebay. much clothes for chubby girls (new clothes too!) coming soon once someone lends me their camera. Currently there's DVDs on sale.
Shit. Haven't written this much in a while. I've been pretty nerve-racked lately over alot of things, things currently happening and the future. It's a bit much. I've never wanted a summer to pass more quickly. I just want to get to sept/oct with all limbs still intact and i'll be happy.

So I guess the landlord sold the house or something but I've got til August to find somewhere to live. I've been talking and talking about moving out for ages now (sorry ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) juggynaut) but it's kind of scary that there's a set date on this now. Something set by someone else so i can't procrastinate or push it back. So let's see... 400$ cc bill that has to be paid off before my 10 day road trip in June and I need somewhere to live by August. Getting my computer fixed would be nice too. I don't need any more clothes, or accessories or books. I really don't. Saving money for all these things isn't as hard as I've been making it be.

We (Cheryl, Jeff, and I) saw The Ark a few days ago. Check out the site. They rock about 500x harder live though, so the site might be a bit of a let down. I went from laughing at them, to, well, still laughing at them but also genuinely enjoying the songs.
On a different note, I prefer Jenny Lewis quiet and semi-alone rather than loud with a backing band. 'Course that opinion might have been affected by the venues and crowds at the shows. The only thing that topped the AO show was the Watsons' dresses. Rawr.
CD Reviews:
The Decemberists - Billy Liar EP - awesome. glad i bought it.
The Elected - Sun, Sun, Sun - kinda blah. might wind up seeing them tomorrow regardless.
Tribute to The Distillers - Wack. How could you fuck up Distillers songs? The answer, apparently, is 'very fucking easily'. Yuck. Good thing it was cheap.
Mates of State - Bring It Back - As expected..that is to say, that it is "Fucking Awesome". Seriously. SO glad I'm seeing them again. If Team Boo is a 10 out of 10, Bring It Back is a 9.3 out of 10.
Well, that's it really. I thought if I didn't post in a while I'd have a lot more to say, but my life has become..what? quieter now? calmer? Things are going 'okay' which is much, much better than having great highs and lows. I'm pretty happy. It's nice.
